I love coffee
But I don’t drink it. Yes, I love the taste of coffee, but it skyrockets my heart rate and makes me even more hyperactive than I already am.
But just because I don’t drink coffee doesn’t mean I love it any less. I love the smell - it makes me feel warm and cozy inside. I also love the idea of coffee - sipping it by the window on a rainy day, reading a book.
But this doesn’t upset me in the slightest. I’ve finally come to terms with my love for coffee and not being able to 'have' it.
Just because I love something and can’t ‘have’ it, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy it. I can admire something from afar. The way I admire coffee from afar is literally by going to a coffee shop and sitting down. I can order anything other than coffee, and STILL get the feelings I described above.
If you’re longing for something, think of how you can get a similar experience on a budget / with what you already have.
